Easy-to-make Pistachio Chocolates – perfect for gifting!

  • Total Time: 1 hour
  • Yield: 12 chocolates

Ingredients

  • 150 g milk chocolate (Cooking or eating chocolate)
  • 90 g pistachio creme
  • 100 g roasted, salted, shelled pistachios
  • 1 tbsp icing sugar

Instructions

  1. Chop roasted pistachios finely, but leave some texture – you want the texture of nuts chopped roughly in small pieces, not pistachio dust!
  2. Put the pistachio creme in a bowl, and mix the chopped nuts in well.
  3. On a small plate, spread out the icing sugar.
  4. Take a small piece of the pistachio mix, and roll into a ball. it should be about 1inch (1.75cm) in diameter. Roll in the icing sugar and put on the edge of the plate.
  5. Do the same with the rest of the pistachio mix. You should have between 12-16 balls.
  6. Put in the fridge for 30 mins to set.
  7. After 25 mins, begin to melt the chocolate.
  8. Roll each pistachio ball in the melted chocolate until it is covered all over with chocolate. Shake the excess chocolate off. Place on a plate which is covered with baking parchment or greaseproof paper.
  9. Repeat until all the balls are covered in chocolate.
  10. Place in fridge until the chocolate is set.
